WHAT WE DO
GMS Plesium develops integrated projects for resolving the maintenance needs of your equipment and vehicles. Our extensive experience and deep knowledge of the sector, added to the high level of training of our engineers and technicians, ensure the achievement of the objectives set by our customers
Furthermore, GMS Plesium has products that have already been developed and tested that can be adapted to your requirements.
Recovery of armoured vehicle tracks
GMS Plesium trains the personnel who are going to operate these plants, so that they can identify which parts are recoverable and we give them the tools and criteria to do this.
This technology allows us to recover a minimum of 70%, and in some cases up to 85%, of the used tracks, at an average cost of 50% of the purchase price of new tracks.
We have the technology to tackle any type of track
Over the last 8 years we have recovered 200,000 plates in the different lines of the Spanish army, this is A TOTAL SAVING OF €12 MILLION
Benefits of the use of recovered tracks:
Financial saving
The acquisition of a recovery plant is a short-term profitable operation.Self-sufficiency
Greater independence with respect to the supply of material from other armies/countries.Sustainability
Material saving, more sustainable.High reliability
The recovered plates have a reliability of 100%.Our highly trained team of engineers and technicians can build machines with the maximum levels of productivity, reliability and safety.
Our machines meet EC safety regulations, therefore we can guarantee compliance with European occupational risk prevention standards.
We have machinery developed for the recovery of different types of track, which we can adapt to any other type of track that the customer has, provided that it is recoverable.
For customers with different types of track to recover, we have developed a new type of versatile machinery which, by means of settings made prior to the start of the process, allows track plates to be recovered from different types of vehicles. This advance in technology increases our customer's profitability, since:
No duplication
The machinery does not have to be duplicated for each type of track that our customer has.Fewer machines
Less space: lower investment in infrastructure.Workforce
With fewer machines, fewer personnel are needed to operate them. Our machines allow customers to manufacture their own rubber spares for the tracks of their vehicles, which will provide them with:
Self-sufficiency
Self-sufficiency in high wear and higher turnover parts.Profitability
The cost of our machines is recovered in the short term.User Friendly
We program the machines so any operator can operate them in a straightforward way1. Training in processes
We offer an initial training in our facilities in Spain, which covers the entire plate recovery process and sub-processes involved.
Subsequently, we organise training at the customer's facilities, where this information is covered in greater depth. We accompany the customer on site during the start-up of production to ensure the correct application of the procedures.
2. Training on machinery
During the start-up of the plant, the customer's personnel are trained on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.
3. Deliverable documentation
During the start-up of the plant, all the documentation for the management and operation of the plant is delivered to the customer:
- Recovery process manual
- Vulcanisation process manual
- Rubber quality control laboratory process manual
- Operating manuals for the supplied equipment
- Spares manuals for the supplied equipment
- List of consumables
We receive your used tracks at our plant or we collect them from your facilities, and we carry out the recovery process. Once the entire process is complete, we send them to you ready for use.

Hydraulic tools
These allow maintenance tasks to be carried out on the vehicles in a quick, safe and efficient way.
> The pin or connectors to be easily extracted from the plates to separate them.
> To open the track until it is fully de-tensioned so it can be repaired.
> To rejoin the track and tension it.
> To reinsert the pin or connector and fasten it leaving it ready for use.

We can also develop them for other types of track vehicles. Consult us.
We have torsion bar extractors developed for the following vehicles:
> AMERICAN M-113
> LEOPARD 1 & 2
> PIZARRO
> BMP
These tools ensure the stability of the vehicle and allow repair tasks to be carried out safely by minimising the risk of accidents to the personnel involved. Otherwise, the vehicle could become unstable and fall on top of the operator working on the repair.
